A great way to lose weight and prevent hemorrhoids is with a natural vegan diet. Constipation, bad eating habits and anxiety are common reasons that piles develop. Hemorrhoids are badly inflamed blood vessels located in and around the anal area and lower rectum which cause burning itch, chronic pain and bleeding. After I recovered my hemorrhoid physician told me that my eating habits needed to change to prevent hemorrhoids from returning. He was somewhat older than me, but was in far better physical shape. I asked his secret to being fit. My physician only ate a vegan diet and enjoyed Tai Chi. The body movements of Tai Chi lower anxiety and offer other health benefits. In my mind this was not a very Western medicine approach to getting healthy.

Plant-based diets provide the body all the good nutrition it needs without the unhealthy stuff collecting in the colon causing chronic constipation and straining when passing bowel movements. There is so much awesome information about healthy vegan diets that I can’t cover it all in this brief moment of sharing. In this short time I’ve lost weight, have more energy and am not consuming junk food to cope with stress. There are no signs of my painful piles returning.

We both strongly feel that if you have even the mildest discomfort in your anal area you need to see a hemorrhoid doctor.
